The base package contains the engine that runs all the Eduteams games, plus one game: The River which is suitable for any age group. You can buy the base package without buying another package, it will give you a good taster of what GBL is all about and will be able to form the basis of a very effective teamwork/communication skills lesson. You can also purchase the base package as part of our lesson pack Enhancing Learning Performance.
Pupil Rating
In The River we have to work together to cross a river. We can all pick up wooden logs and we have to work out which stones to balance them across so we can make a pathway to the other side. It’s really hard because if you don’t work together it all goes wrong.
Teacher Rating
This is a great introduction to Eduteams and GBL. Pupils all pick up logs and start putting them down in all sorts of places and as the time ticks by they really have to pull together. The computer randomly generates the rocks so that there’s a different solution each time - this game can be played as many times as you like, and pupils will have fun doing so if they work together!
