STUDY SKILLS
Contents Our study skills courses are very popular indeed. They are excellent courses to run at any time of year and the following times are particularly useful:
- At the start of the year to act as an induction course
- After a month or so, when the workload has picked up
- Close to Christmas/New Year to encourage students to prepare for their mocks/estimates
- During the Summer Term to prepare students for the next academic year
These courses are usually delivered over a full day, with a half day option available for selected courses.
The full-day session lets students try things out with our help and guidance and gives a wider picture of how to learn.
Where applicable, the half day session covers the salient points of the full-day version and provides students with a workable model to make their learning easier. It empowers them to try to use the techniques for themselves.
